Help make an impact on West Virginians with disabilities and their families.

The WVU Center for Excellence in Disabilities is excited to once again be an official participant in this year's WVU Day of Giving happening on March 25, 2026!

What is WVU Day of Giving?

WVU Day of Giving is a one-day, 24-hour fundraising opportunity designed to bring people together to give toward a cause close to their hearts. Gifts — both large and small — are driven by social media and email communications. These gifts will go toward areas of greatest need or scholarships for the University or in various schools, colleges and departments. The WVU Center for Excellence in Disabilities is an official participating program for Day of Giving, which means you can select the CED as the recipient of your gifts on March 25!

How can I get involved?

  • Post about Day of Giving on social media using the hashtags #WVUDayofGiving and #SupportWVUCED. Check out the Day of Giving social media toolkit.
  • Become a WVU Day of Giving ambassador, select the WVU Center for Excellence in Disabilities as your affiliation, and receive a personalized URL to help drive donations. The top five registered ambassadors who inspire the most gifts will get a prize! Check out a step-by-step Day of Giving ambassador training video.
  • Share your story! Ever been a client at the CED? Had a family member receive services? Were you a trainee? Are you a professional who works with our programs or makes referrals to us? Make your posts as personal as you'd like to help spread the word!
  • Give on March 25 and select the CED as the program you'd like to support. We appreciate any gift, no matter how small or large (although there is a $5 minimum on donations).
  • You can further specify how you want your gift to impact the CED and its programs by writing in the comment section on the donation page. For example, you could choose to help fund life-changing scholarships for the Country Roads program, which helps prepare students with intellectual/developmental disabilities for independence by providing academic courses, social engagement, and real-world work experiences.

Check out these WVU Day of Giving challenges!
